Crown and Country
In the course of Human events, there occasionally comes a time when some people in a group wish to have more power, and will do anything they can to obtain it. They begin to dissent against those in charge, and think it will help them obtain more power to undermine those in charge. I have noticed some dissidence of people against my rule, and much lack of appreciation as to what I have given and the long hours I have spent to bring the region to where she is today.
Nevertheless, I shall convey a brief description, I have of course done more, however, I am too busy to list it all (Please note, this is just for Empires of Earth, not even including our colonies). So here is a short brushing up on what I have done, for those of you who have forgotten.
I founded Empires of Earth to be run as how I saw it fit and in my ultimate vision. Everyone in the region has come knowing full well that I have absolute power, therefore, for every nation residing in the region is a vote towards my rule. Every nation that resides in the region was invited by me, for I am the only one that takes time out of my life to recruit for the region. It is the same as being invited to stay in someone's home and agreeing. You are to be courteous of their ways and their rules.
I have built the region from 1 nation to 188 nations. I went on holiday for only 2 weeks and asked others to recruit to keep the region's population up. No one evidently cares enough about the region, and the population slipped to 144 upon my arrival back. Hardly unpacked from my journey, I was already recruiting again, and within a few days was able to get the population up to 163. This is only proof that the well-being of the region is completely and utterly dependent on myself, and anyone who tries to limit my role therefore does not have the well-being of the region at heart, but their own selfish political desires and avarice.
I have allowed nations to criticize me when and how they please, I have even tolerated attempted uprisings to the point where they went too far. I have also tolerated the nations that the leader of the revolt said were helping him, not only have I tolerated them staying, but also them running for government positions and allowing them to further criticize my government.
Instead of going with the public demand to simply banish the leader of the revolt I gave him a trial, and put up with it for months, in which time he had more than enough opportunity to defend his actions. I am the one who suggested in the ruling that he be allowed to stay, though on strict conditions.
I created the forum, and have made 35 percent of the posts on it. When I am on vacation, forum activity greatly diminishes, thereby showing that I am the one who generally keeps the conversation going and the forum activity up. I also created the banner for the forum.
I also wrote the regional pledge, creed, anthem and other regional songs, and designed the regional flag (many versions of which as well). I have granted countless coats of arms to people as well. The time I have spent on all this is unimaginable. I have created and run the region's very own website.
I founded and have run the region's very own newspaper.
I created the Military and Naval academies. I also founded the military and got it started before it eventually fell into ruin due to others lacking on their own duties and myself therefore not having the time to maintain an active military. The former Minister of War did minimal besides bringing the army (which had fallen to 4 soldiers) to a region called Yatta and abandoning us there, then taking us into The Reuntied States where he also failed and Sedarva had to step in. Sedarva has worked wonders for the army and even created the website and forum. This is the type of work I like to see as I can then concentrate on other issues as I cannot do the best of my ability when I have to do everything. Though even then I have helped command some missions and recruit for the army, though not as much as Sedarva has done. And I thank him for his hard work, though I do appreciate the former minister for at least giving it some effort. I have had active service in the army and have defended the region against invaders many times, and have helped conquer enemy regions.
I have voted yea consistently on proposed legislation that limits my power, and have even proposed legislation that limits my power. Most of the legislation that is currently in effect has been written by myself.
I wrote the Constitution and Bill or Rights.
I have held open elections for various parts of the government. I have also appointed and voted for many citizens from other political parties than my own.
On that note I have created the oldest lasting and largest political party in the region. I also approved the formation of political parties, even ones that directly oppose my government.
I designed and have run the Empires of Earth game. I recently gave that duty over to Christstan.
I designed the regional map.
I created the statistics service census, and many other services of the like.
I am the only person who has been consistently active, and been consistently here since the regions first few months, all the other people who have been here for a long time have either gone inactive or left the region for various reasons.
I created the NationStates Wiki on Empires of Earth, and all articles dealing with her (over 30 articles I have written on the encyclopedia). I also wrote the extensive history on the region.
I am also the one who has helped out new nations, welcomed them on NS, and answered their questions, and tried to get them involved.
I have brought this region through crises, revolts, inactivity, and much much more. Everything you see is the result of my hard work over the past 8 months. I thank all those who have helped, and wish for you to do so more because I am falling behind with all that is piling up. I become rather annoyed when I have to work hard at getting people to do the jobs they have, they should just do them without be maving to do so much and do the job for them half the time. If you reside in Empires of Earth, you came knowing full well of my power, and are in no position to try to compromise that power. You have been welcomed into the region that I created, built up, and defended. You do not enter someone's house and demand they give it to you, do you? That would be called theft. Anyone wishing to usurp my power does so out of their own selfish lust and loathing, and not out of the best interest of the region. I am the only one who can truly say that I have the best interest of the region at heart, as I founded it and brought EoE where it is today. I will not yield to the rapaciousness of others.
