Minister of Homeland Security speaks

Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP) The Minister of Information recently has had a chance to sit down again with Sir Knifeking for another interview. Recently Sir Knifeking was recently appointed the Empires of Earth's Minister of Homeland Security.

bootskitten - How do you feel about your appointment as Empires of Earth’s Minister of Homeland Security?

knifeking - I feel that it is another way to help our region grow stronger together and size wise so that we are felt as even more of a presence in NS. It will be an interesting position to hold as my predecessor in this position JP never did anything to my knowledge but then again that’s how it supposed to be.

bootskitten - Can you explain more about the position as some of the citizens are confused about it?

knifeking - Ah yes it is a bit tricky and I’m sure a lot of people are going to be confused about it. Actually could be considered part of The Ministry of Immigration, Information, and War all at once. My job is to monitor all new nations who arrive watch their activities for anything suspicious, keep tabs on nations that leave Empires of Earth and see what they do after they leave (Ministry of War), recruit new nations (Ministry of Immigration), and then work with the Ministry of Information in putting out propaganda to boost moral and activity through out the region.

bootskitten - How is this going to work in conjunction with the Ministry of Information?

knifeking - Well as I said in the previous question pump out propagandist material to increase morale and activity in the region and keep a steady stream of info to the people so they know what is happening around them.

bootskitten - What are your goals as the newly appointed Homeland Security Minister?

knifeking - My goals are to help increase our population, our activity, and above all else our safety.

bootskitten - How will you achieve those goals?

knifeking - I will use my resources from the Ministry of Immigration, and working in conjunction with the minister if Information.

bootskitten - What types of skills do you think are necessary to be the Minister of Homeland Security?

knifeking - Skills would be needing to know how to recruit, how to be covert if your watching some one, good people skills is also a must.

Sir Knifeking also said at the end of the interview "I would like to thank you for this entertaining interview Mr. Boots." The Minister of Information enjoyed talking with Sir Knifeking and the entire Empire wishes Knifeking the very best of luck in his position as Minister of Homeland Security and looks forward to seeing great things from him.

Empires of Earth, Hampshire join

Royal Citadel Palace, Londinium, EoE (AP) Yesterday morning, King Most Great Britannia of Empires of Earth and Hampshire’s King Tiberius Capurcium, also known as Prince Consort SenatorTC in EoE, made the announcement that Empires of Earth and Hampshire will join together and unite as an act of Faith. The joining of these two kingdoms are a sign of everlasting friendship between the regions and the kings. The joining of Empires of Earth and Hampshire is not without problems. A few prominent citizens in both Hampshire and Empires of Earth’s have a problem with the joining of the two regions. The citizens cite that their parliaments, Prime Minister and Lord High Chancellor should have been informed of this decision before the Kings did it. The most vocal opponent is Lord Atlantis, citing primarily personal reasons. Linkin of Hampshire has however changed his vote and is now for the decision. Kings Most Great Britannia and Tiberius Capurcium site this decision is to help both regions and to better Empires of Earth. Also, especially in EoE there is no prior precedent of the LHC or parliament ever being involved in matters like this, as it is a matter of the foreign office and king, not Parliament and the legislative branch.

Empires of Earth passes 200 nation mark

Ministry of Information, Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP) At the beginning of 2007, Empires of Earth’s regional population fell quickly so that Empires of Earth quickly dropped out of the top 20 largest regions in the realm of NationStates and below 200 nations. Lately, with the recruitment efforts of His Majesty, Most Great Britannia, Foreign Affairs Minister SenatorTC and Immigration Minister Knifeking, Empires of Earth has finally gotten back to past 200 nations and back into the top 20 largest regions. “It is a wonderful feeling that we are finally regaining back some of our old glory back and it shows having us currently at 231 nations and 20th in top largest regions in Nationstates. I am proud of what this Empire’s citizens have been able to accomplish with their recent dedication.” States Minister of Information Bootskitten. Most Great Britannia was joyous after hearing of the great news and fully intends to get Empires of Earths Population back to above 280 nations.
