Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP) During this whole Deverlandia Ordeal, it can not be said enough at how Empires of Earth’s Citizens had responded to Deverlandia’s remarks and stood up to defend Most Great Britannia and of Empires of Earth. They stood up with such loyalty and courage that just one article just could not be enough to honor them. The Ministry of Information and The King, Lord High Chancellor thank all of the Empire’s citizens for their loyal support. In my time as Minister of Information, I had not, until this ordeal, seen this great region so united and I am proud to serve such a great region and working alongside my fellow Empire of Earth’s Citizens.

Deverlandia vs. Empires of Earth

Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP)Since the previous Edition of Peunod Thymes was published, Deverlandia had continued to cause trouble in Empires of Earth and as such, found himself on trial for his crimes against Empires of Earth. His Majesty, Most Great Britannia called Minister of Information Bootskitten up to the witness stand to testify against Deverlandia. Bootskitten testified and presented evidence against Deverlandia. Deverlandia was present to defend himself and plead guilty of all charges except for one. After Bootskitten stepped down, Citizen Lethen stepped up and testified against Deverlandia. The Honorable Excalibur5 ruled that Deverlandia was found guilty of: “Treason, Slander, Attempted Manufacturing of Evidence and Attempted Impersonation of an Established Government Official” In his ruling, the Hon. Excalibur5 said that Deverlandia can voluntarily leave Empires of Earth, at which time the ties will be cut or Deverlandia can remain, but will be baned from all government affairs, with the option of a appeal in one month. Hon. Excalibur5 also stated if anymore laws are broken by Deverlandia, he shall be banished for good with no chance of appeal. Most Great Britannia thanks everyone of the Empires citizens for their loyal support.

Trouble Brews in Empires of Earth

Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP) Effective last night, one of the Empires newest recruits, Deverlanidia, registered on the forum and started to insult his Majesty, Most Great Britannia’s heritage and being very disrespectful to other regions government officials, including Lord High Chancellor Atlantis and Minister of Foreign Affairs, SenatorTC. Deverlandia decided to attempt to “crown” himself the Empires King/Sultan and has attempted to overthrow Most Great Britannia. Deverlandia has rudely insulted the Liberal Society Party and to other members. “This person has attempted to create chaos and turn most of Empires of Empire’s citizens against Most Great Britannia. He has failed miserably because instead of turning the Empire’s citizens against each other, he has united the empire together.” States Minister of Information bootskitten. His Majesty, Most Great Britannia does not look kindly upon what Deverlandia has done to this great region and “condemns his actions.” Lord High Chancellor said “he believes that the Citizen’s of Empires of Earth are loyal and noble for defending Empires of Earth and Most Great Britannia.” This situation is quickly becoming something like a Peraguss/Burt case. However, the citizens of Empires of Earth will not stand for this and will defend the Empire and Most Great Britannia. “Deverlandia will lose this battle because of his pitiful attempts to spread chaos and attempted coup of the Empires of Earth region and has now reverted to Private Messaging other citizens of the empire trying to “thank” them for their support. I firmly believe this will only bring us together to defend our beautiful region and our wonderful king, Most Great Britannia, with her government officials.” States Minister of Information. Unless Deverlandia stops this coup, the Empire’s Citizens can be assured he will be brought to justice.

U.N. Delegate Polls open

Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP) Early in the day of April 20, His Majesty Most Great Britannia announced that the polls for U.N. Delegate are officially open. There are two candidates running for U.N. Delegate. The candidates are Minister of Immigration Knifeking and ACrowsMurder. All Government Officials strongly encourage all Empires of Earth’s citizens to vote for their U.N. Delegate. The voting may be found at the Town Centre, Capitagium Constituo and select the topic UN Delegate Election. The Empire wishes both candidates the best of luck.

Dr. Mao quietly quits as U.N. Delegate

Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP)In 24 hours, Empires of Earth’s U.N. Delegate East Hylia, AKA Dr. MaoShan, quietly resigned East Hylia from the U.N. and as such, lost all his endorsements. Sumoor has, according to NSDossier, the U.N. Delegate status with 20 endorsements. Dr. Mao has not made any posts announcing his resignation just shortly before U.N. Delegate Elections took place. The truth was revealed when Minister of Information Bootskitten was doing the weekly census for the Empire. “Dr. Mao is a good person, I just wish he would have stated his intention so the whole empire would have known.” states bootskitten. No word yet on Most Great Britannia or Atlantis are taking this surprising news.

A 6 month interview with Bootskitten

So as being Minister of Information for 6 months how do you like it?

I absolutely love it. I get a great feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction by helping out Empires of Earth as well as helping me to work on my skills. I find I am eager to write articles and doing the weekly census on a regular basis as odd that may seem. I have mostly exceeded my expectations and Most Great Britannia’s with what I have accomplished. I enjoy it very much. I also get to meet some other people and help out.
Is it what you thought it was?

Originally no because I thought it was just basically writing articles and doing a monthly census. I had no idea at the beginning how much work I would have to do to get myself settled in due to the mess my predecessors left me. I had originally thought I would just jump in and get started without really knowing what I was doing but that changed quickly when I saw how far back and disorganized the Peunod Thymes actually was.
Is there more work then meets the eye?

Absolutely yes. I have to keep in constant communication with Most Great Britannia and Atlantis to stay on top of getting articles. I do have to post updates in other places as well, not just the forum. I have to post articles up on the local news blog and put it in a template and text version. I also have to keep checks on the Deputy Minister of Information. I also have to keep tabs on a population and inform that to whoever is in charge of immigration or the king.
In your own words what exactly does the title of Minister of Information stand for?

Hmmmmmmm now this is difficult to answer. Well basically I believe it means I am the central person to contact as a source of information. Like if a new recruit were to have questions, I would try to help them the best I can as I am the “Wise owl” of the Empire (chuckles). But yea, I am in the central person in charge of having most of the information, such as looking up information on embassies or spamming and forum activity.
What do you do as the Minister of Information?

On a regular basis, I am in charging of writing articles, and/or collecting articles from others and putting them into editions of the Peunod Thymes and the news blog. Once a week I do a weekly census which basically gives everyone, but especially Most Great Britannia, Atlantis, the current UN delegate and Knifeking where the empire stands in terms of forum activity, top posters and endorsements and whether or now he have gained/lost nations to help knifeking and others recruit. I am also left in charge of overseeing the Deputy Minister of Information and make sure he does his job effectively. I also take suggestions from any of the citizen’s of Empires of Earth for what they would like to see published.
What aspects do you think are required to do your job successfully?

Communication is the biggest one that it required. One must always have to communicate effectively in order to do a job successfully. In addition Willingness and dedication is also partly required. When I was asked by Most Great Britannia in October if I wanted to be the Minister of Information, back then it was under a different name, I was not forced into the job because I was willing to take the position and in turn it helped me get to more about Empires of Earth and her wonderful citizen’s. One must be dedicated in the Ministry of Information because at some points it does indeed get a little boring and exciting. It also helps to establish friendly relations with everyone, including the king ,Most Great Britannia, and the Lord High Chancellor, Atlantis, so that they can trust how one does his job successfully. Writing skills are also must be required because if one just keeps writing poorly, it will reflect upon the Empires of Earth and on everyone else.
As Minister of Information, what do you look for in candidates, what special something makes some shine and others not?

First off I look for willingness, honesty/trust, dedication. I don’t believe in forcing anyone into a job that they don’t want, whether I ask or someone posts their willingness, I make sure that they want to do it so it does not harbor any resentment between the person. Honesty is another big one. One must be honest in order to better suit their needs and help create an effective team and trust is built upon honesty. When I can trust someone I usually tend to let them do what their supposed to with minimum supervision as long as they get their work finished. As I said before, within the Ministry of Information, some days or weeks can be very boring and long so one must be dedicated to doing what they can do in the ministry of information.

Bootskitten Minister of Information 6 months

This is a remarkable feet in the Ministry of Information as none of the previous Ministers of Information lasted that much. “I am very pleased to have achieved this milestone and it feels even more special to have been a part of all of Empires of Earth’s government.” Stated Bootskitten. The Empire Congratulates bootskitten on this milestone in the Empires’s history and continues wishing bootskitten the best of luck.

Gunster Offically Resigns

Gunster has since dropped from the House of Common’s election. The Empire thanks Gunster for his short service and wishes him the best in what he does.

United Morrison being recently the new Deputy Minister of Information and Aven Dale being brought on board as the head reporter. I look forward to getting to know them and I hope we can work as efficiently and happily together. I wish everyone the best of intentions.

Forum Activity Increasing

Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP) When the old Empires of Earth forum reached its end, the old forum had averaged at the end about 7-26 posts a week. One month into the new forum, the forum activity has been steadily increasing week by week. First week had been awesome, with an average of 120 posts per day the new forum was opened. Each week after that, the average daily post kept rising from an average of 50 posts per day at minimum, to an average above 100 posts per day. “I am delighted about this increased forum activity. Made me almost quite embarrassed to even post the weekly census, or even more so, my face in public (chuckle)” states Minister of Information Bootskitten.. The Empires forum activity is now healthier and everyone looks forward to keeping the healthy forum activity.
