Atlantis Appointed Lord High Chancellor

Londinium, Empires of Earth (AP) Shortly After Former Lord High Chancellor Lord Posul announced his resignation, His Majesty Most Great Britannia appointed Atlantis as the new Lord High Chancellor. When asked how he felt about his new position, Atlantis responded by saying “Very excited, I feel EoE was at a slowing point for the last month, and even though good things during that time, everything had a tinge of inactivity to it, that I hope to fix." Atlantis also states some of his goals. “As I mentioned already, fighting inactivity will be my first goal. It is essential for anything else to happen. Afterwards I plan to focus on my position in the House of Lords and propose new legislation to help EoE gain both activity and a few new pieces of legislation to possibly make things run smoother or faster.” Atlantis plans to achieve his above stated goals by “I think there are three big points in making mine and others goals become a reality. First, is cooperation with the King, if me and MGB are always fighting nothing will get done, 2 is patience, we need to wait for many people to get their job done before I can do mine, this also applies to newbie’s being patient with it really helps them get into the game. Patience is ALL aspects of EoE is very important, Thirdly Persistence, the exact opposite of patience, if we are too patient then we may be waiting forever. Sometimes pushing for yours and my goals is what will work best.” The Empire congratulates Atlantis on his Appointment as Lord High Chancellor and wishes him the best.

Posul Resigns as Lord High Chancellor

Londinium, House of Lords, Empires of Earth (AP) Due to lack of time to devote to Empires of Earth, Lord High Chancellor Lord Posul has announced his resignation as Lord High Chancellor. Lord Posul thanks everyone for their support and for giving him a chance to serve the Empire. All of Empire of Earth citizens and its allies thank Posul for his service to the Empire.

Peunod Thymes Special Report

Londinium, Ministry of War (AP) In a shake up within the Empires of Earths Military, Minister of War VAC has ordered that His Majesty’s Grand Army be disbanded. VAC is currently putting this order up for vote, and if passed, will disband the Grand Army. Any soldier will be given the option to go to either the Marines or the Royal Navy for the Empires of Earth. Or any current soldier that does not wish to join the Marines of the Royal Navy, will be asked to step aside from the Armed Forces. According to VAC, the Grand Army simply failed to meet the desired objective of making the Empire’s armed force a very strong and respectful one. The duties of the Grand Army are also the Empire’s Marines duties, which makes a redundant of the Grand Army. The Grand Army takes away most recruits from the Marines and Royal Navy. By the disbandment of the Grand Army, Any assignments and/or duties will be placed under the Marines. This Order will go in effect on Sunday December 25 after 12:00 p.m. It should also be noted, that this order is not permanent and if enough recruitment is reached, the Grand Army could be reinstated.

Sedarva Appointed new Minister of Foreign Affairs

Londinium, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (AP) Within a few hours after Fate Averruncus announced his resignation as Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Majesty, Most Great Britannia formally announced that Sedarva as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. When asked how he felt about his appointment, Sedarva said “I am very pleased with my appointment. I plan to spearhead a new initiative that will finally cement our region in its rightful place on the world stage of NationStates.” When asked about his foreign policy, Sedarva states “My foreign policy will ensure that the interests of our great Empire will be protected, and our influence will grow. In a years time, I plan to completely reshape our region's role in the dynamic NationStates world.” Members of Empires of Earth congratulate Sedarva on his appointment and wish him the best of luck in his job.

Fate Averruncus Resigns as Minister of Foreign Affairs

Londinium, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (AP) Fate Averruncus has recently announced his resignation as Minister of Foreign Affairs. His resignation comes from issues that he has to take care of first. When asked what he thought of his resignation, Fate answered “I felt it was time to step down and give another a chance after all it is a democratic system. I wish I could've done a little more but unfortunately not so..” Fate is unsure of what his plans are, though he has been asked to join the House of Lords. The Empire thanks Fate Averruncus for his wonderful contribution as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and wishes him the best.

Representation Act of 2006

Londinium, House of Lords, Empires of Earth (AP) The House of Lords is currently in the midst of debating a new act called "Representation Act of 2006" sponsored by Sedarva The act promises to help members of the Empire in a diplomatic direction. Under the act, the members of the Empire would be able decide their fates when it is in concern of inter-regional affairs. Members of the empire will be accurately represented in the other alliances that the Empires of Earth in this, and will help to make sure that facts stay facts and that corruption with representatives are kept to a low minimum by establishing a rotation of office. Every two months, a representative's position will be up, and there will be a one week voting period, the current representative could serve another two months, if confirmed by the House of Commons. For the current representatives it will serve as a "job evalutation" if his position is up for confirmation by the House of Commons. The Representation act will install a very accurate "measuring" tool for helping the regions progress within inter-regional affairs. It should be noted that the current United Nations delegate for Empires of Earth would be exempted from this legislation. Lord Sedarva said this on the act "It will revolutionize the political scene in EoE. Not only will it open up doors in the foreign affairs department, but it will also open the doors to increas collaboration and division of powers between the Parliament and the Monarchy."

How does it feel to be back here again in the Empires of Earth?
"It's absolutely wonderful."

How does it feel to help the region
"I forgot how exhilarating it feels to participate in this game to a full extent. For the first time in about 6 months, I'm drafting legislation, participating in arguments, getting involved. My only regret is that I did not come back sooner."

Where do you get your inspiration?
"I draw my inspiration from the thousands of nations before me. The ones that built this astonishing social experiment that is the world of NationStates."

United Nations looking to repeal "World Heritage List" Resolution

United Nations HQ (PN)The most current United Nation resolution calls for a repeal of a previous resolution called "World Heritage List." This resolution calls for a need for protecting areas of the environment in the world and calls upon nations to voluntarily list sites that are of environmentally significant, both within that nation or within the world. The resolution would protect those sites from being logged or by any other environment damaging activity. All but one active member in the Empires of Earth are for the repeal of this resolution citing that the resolution is vaguely worded and is simply very weak to enforce.
