A dispatch from the Unfettered Royal Palace

It has been a whirlwind few days within the Principality of Unfettered. From the brink of destruction our nation was retrieved by the King of Most Great Britannia and the larger Empire of which this region is a part. Unfettered was called upon to return to its former home and was honored with an invitation to become the Colonial Viceroy. Soon after this was announced, Sedarva, the first pioneer of The Two Sicilies, appointed our leader Supreme Monarch of The Two Sicilies, subject only to Most Great Britannia.

Neither of these positions are to be taken lightly, however, after extensive discussions, it was decided that they were indeed positions Unfettered was more than capable of filling properly, competently, and efficiently. Already, moves have been made to build this region into the Crown Jewel of the Empire. In the tradition of stretched metaphors, all jewels start as dirty chunks of metal, buried under dirt, mud and sand. Only after they have been forged and shaped are they worthy of any recognition. We have the intention and the ability to do just that.

All those appointed Lords by Sedarva have been removed, and the House of Lords is hereby suspended (an action we are quite able to take, in the absence of a Lord Chancellor). Should those nations return to the stage, it is likely they would regain their Lordship, but it is simply wrong to leave them in their position at this time.

However, we will need the assistance and support of others. In this tumultuous world, it is unthinkable for one nation to stand alone and be able to attain any degree of success.We are actively searching for new Lords. It should be noted that no one will be granted a Lordship simply for joining. Lords are supposed to be the leaders of this region, and only those who demonstrate that they are capable of handling such responsibility properly and justly will be granted it. This region will be a meritocracy. The size of one's nation will have no effect on one's prospects for advancement. Initiative, responsibility, efficieny, competence, and intelligence are traits to be admired, nurtured, and rewarded.

We will not stand for nor tolerate disrespect or simple rudeness. We are setting out to be of the highest standard; we will not lower ourselves to pointless and inflammatory remarks. Anyone who does will be dealt with appropriately.

The powers we have been granted are not for our benefit. We wield this scepter not for our gain. We are, in all things, a servant of the Empire. We are your servant. We carry out your will and represent your will to the rest of the Empire and the World. We have this position not because we wish to rule over subjects, but because we wish to be a part of something great, and believe we have the capacity to lead the region to its pinnacle.

Remember, we are your sword and your shield, your guardian, advisor, protector, counselor, and servant.
