Treatise on Imperialism

We are Imperialists, neither invaders nor defenders, and think such labels are ridiculous. We seek to spread the Will and Glory of the Empire throughout the NationStates world. We have sought to help out the less fortunate regions of the globe, and thereby establish friendly relations amongst them. Our objective in this is to both help out less fortunate regions, and to better our reputation amongst them. Nevertheless, as with all "labels," the same does not apply to all. We claim Britannic Imperialism, as with the real life British Empire, her contributions to the world, the technology, philosophy, literature, medicine, investment, institutions, and plain advancements of man-kind have left a profound legacy, also helping start off the global abolishment of slavery, and ending various barbaric practices, such as the practice of suttee (burning widows alive on their husband's funeral pyre). As in the real world, there are other forms of imperialism as well. The real world Empires, such as those of Belgium and Germany, were harsh, savage in practice, cruel, and stripped the colonies of what they could get their hands on, and gave little in return. These can be translated into the NationStates world as what is seen as the Raiders and Invaders, especially those who practice "griefing." We who seek to spread glory, knowledge, and general well-being throughout NationStates view these as "Dark Imperialists." We see our way as Righteous, and those who obstruct us and attempt to prevent our aid to fellow regions as misguided, ignorant, hindering regions, who are bored by the ho-hum of summer, that instead of helping regions from these "Dark Imperialists," they feel the need to stymie the help that those of our brand of Imperialism is trying to spread. Due to the lack of regions like ourselves, and the general bad light shed on the practice of Imperialism in the real world because of peoples' ignorance, we understand the how easy it is to confuse the types of Imperialism, and even the difference between Imperialism and invading. Hence the reason of this article, to make better the understanding of what we stand for. To see us in action, one must only look as far as our first mission in The Reunited States. A stagnating, decaying, conquered region, we were able to make them a forum, a regional flag, a regional anthem, a forum banner, recruitment and welcome telegrams, a region map, an NSWiki entry, nearly double the population, start games on their forum, Write them a constitution and bill of rights, and a few other things. That is the glory of Britannic Imperialism, and that is for what we stand. We further have regional laws, The Articles of Imperialisation, the govern how coruse of conduct.

Return of the armed forces

The Imperial Armed forces have finally returned from The Reunited States. The mission was a decisive military and strategic success. Once the troops returned home, they marched through the streets of Londonium, the largest city, and capital of Empires of Earth. Also, His Majesty reviewed the troops to make sure all was in order. Though, throughout NationStates haughty tyrants thought their knavish tricks would bend thee down, by slandering the good name of Empires of Earth. Newspaper articles were even written with the goal to besmirch what The Empire stands for. First let me say what we stand for. Please read the above article on Imperialism

The Reunited States

Now for our actions in The Reunited States, and general slander spread across the world, via ignorance, deception, and fraudulent information. Current Minister of War, Peraguss, decided on trying to use the army at least once before his retirement. He chose The Reunited States as they were once a vibrant region that had fallen into decay once conquered by The Holy Empire. The Mighty Empires Of Earth sought to try out her army for the first time, so after searching for a region they came across The Reunited States. They were a decaying region that had recently been conquered by The Holy Empire, but were originally founded by people now in Men in Black. Empires Of Earth therefore sought to take over the region, rebuild it, and then give it independence (this is before they realised that it was originally owned by Men in Black). We set out to do this to help a less fortunate region, spread their Imperial culture, help boost NationStates activity, and to have yet another region friendly towards them. We colonised the region and wrote up a constitution, and various other articles to help it out. We declared: This is not a declaration of war. We merely wish to test our army, and help out this region. We will be making a forum and Constitution for this region, and possibly a few other things, and then probably leave once we have finished. We are an Imperial region, and wish to help less powerful regions out to get going. We would appreciate your cooperation, and will be probably be leaving with in the next few days if all goes according to plan. The Imperial Delegate/Temporary Viceroy that Empires Of Earth installed was City 37. The Mission was under command of the then Minister of War, Peraguss, but switched over to Sedarva once Peraguss was ejected from the United Nations. Empires Of Earth declared the region independent, or back in control of The Holy Empire (whichever they wish) once all of the goals had been achieved. More is now known about the early history of TRS, brought to light by some of the senior members if the region and her old allies. It became apparent that the region had originally belonged to Men in Black, but after they had decayed was when The Holy Empire had taken it over. After liberating the region from The Holy Empire, Empires Of Earth decided we would give the region over to Men in Black when we were through. Alaskan Northern Lights officially supported the actions of Empires Of Earth stating: Thank you, if you need any help from us, just let me know. I owe you for clearing out TRS as we were all tied up in Hawaii & Alaska at the moment. We did plan on liberating TRS, but a little ways away. Thank you for doing it for us. We had a few enemies, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen again. Also saying to Sedarva: I can still send a few guys if you need. Your doing great....If we can spare a few I will send them anyway as you need more regional influence to Keep them off you. Further, about the history of the region, he stated on the Regional Message Board: Hello my friends. I'm Maximus,founder of this region. We formed it to oversee the regional States in the game. A few months back we were merging with another region & let the founder nation die off as we didnt need the region anymore. Well,things didn't go as planned & we needed a new home. We can't have a region without a founder nation as all our UN nations serve as MIB Agents and are always on the move. We still oversee Alaska as I rebuilt it months ago & just recently moved into Hawaii to rebuild as well. We are back on track & do wish you all here the very best. If you need some help,give me a yell. Empires Of Earth had to defend the region from wave after wave after wave of Invaders. One group of ruffians claiming they were here to "defend" the region got this response from Most Great Britannia: We have official decree from Men In Black, the owners of this region to be here. We liberated this region and have[-wait] Do YOU have official permission from MIB? Thought not. Therefore you are invaders and will be denounced as such to the NationStates community. So far we have: Made them a forum, a regional flag, a regional anthem, a forum banner, recruitment and welcome telegrams, a region map, an NSWiki entry, nearly doubled the population started some games on their forums, Written them a constitution and bill of rights, and a few other things... We also have the backing of the natives of this region. Leave or be denounced as invaders, I contacting Alaskan Northern Lights this instant to tell him of the attack you made on his region. He has even thanked us for liberating it for him. What are you defending? NOTHING. You are invading a region that was liberated from The Holy Empire before we are through [helping it out]. Empires Of Earth had to go up against many alliances, most note-worthy, The Templar Order, Illuminati, and a self-proclaimed "defender group" that moves around, mainly being in regions such as 000000000 A Place to Poke Smot, and origianlly from Celtic Warrior, and also Airborne Defense Empire, and 42 Hitch Hikers Guide. Most were ejected promptly once Sedarva returned. In total, the largest force to try and wrest the region from Empires of Earth was a total of 19 nations, the other major forces were 6 and 5. All the others are not worth mentioning as they were a mere 2 nations, not enough to conquer the region. After the first attack Empires Of Earth called upon the region Blades of Conquest as they share diplomatic communications, to come to their aid, which indeed the "Blades" did, and sent a nation to help. Empires Of Earth gave The Reunited States back into the complete sovereignty of Men in Black, though the natives are not as active as we would have liked. They have also elected their own delegate.

The Sceptrum Britannia, and our sister paper, The Peunod Thymes, wish to make an important announcement regarding the recent medal granting spree His Majesty has had. The recent adjourning of Klopstock from his successful time as the Great British and Irish Foreign Secretary has left a great sea of sorrow across the Regions that he represented the Empire of Great Britain and Ireland in. Thence, he has been bestowed upon with the Imperial Ambassadorial Medal of Honour in Empires of Earth. We send unto him waves of gratitude and many thanks, along with the great sorrow of watching him depart. He, his discussions, an much about him will be missed, and we can only hope that every so often he will find the time to pay us a visit. Klopstock, Empires of Earth thanks you for your service in helping keep our region informed about Great British and Irish affairs, and your discussions as well.

From the region of Government, we must also present Ambassador Sajlamot with the Imperial Ambassadorial Medal of Honour. Sajlamot has become a large playing member in the Empires of Earth community. He has made a puppet, Sajia, in Empires of Earth, claimed land on the map, become Royal Cartographer, entered the House of Lords, and recently made another puppet with a similar name for our largest colony, The Imperial Dominion. He is also the fourth largest poster on the Empires of Earth forum. Speaking as representitive of Empires of Earth, I think I can rightly say that we would all like to extent much congratulations and thanks to how much you have come in and become a part of Imperial society.
